Giving

Why Choose The Catholic Foundation?

The Catholic Foundation offers generous individuals and families a way to make giving easier, more effective and we guide donors to leave a legacy uniquely aligned with their values and beliefs. We are your trusted advisor in philanthropy.  Donors enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that their gift directly supports the Catholic and non-Catholic organizations that they choose.

Your Philanthropic Advisor

The Catholic Foundation welcomes a broad range of assets and facilitates both giving now as a current gift and giving later as a planned gift. Both current giving and planned giving can be used to establish individual funds at The Catholic Foundation and/or, more simply, to contribute to the Foundation’s unrestricted Philanthropy Fund.

We provide the knowledge, expertise and due diligence to evaluate, receive, manage and liquidate contributions in the most caring, efficient and tax-favorable manner. We are here to help fulfill your philanthropic intent consistent with your financial and estate plans.

Current Giving

Current Giving is comprised of gifts you make during the course of your lifetime to achieve your charitable and philanthropic goals.

Ways To Give

  • Cash

Donate any amount online or mail a check. We also accept wire transfers and ACH payments. Please check with your employer for matching funds as we qualify and can facilitate.

  • Publicly Traded Stock, Closely Held Stock, and Appreciated Assets

Transfer assets, a tax advantaged way to give, and designate your area of interest. Contact us about gifts of business interests before you sell. See Donor Services for stock transfer information.

  • Retirement Plan Assets

For those 70 ½ and older, make annual gifts up to $100,000 from your IRA to lower your income tax. A bonus is it also qualifies for your required minimum distribution (RMD). QCD’s do not apply to 401(k) programs.

  • Real Estate

Consider gifting your home, farm, or commercial property now or your after lifetime.

  • Life Insurance

Donate a new or existing policy and name The Catholic Foundation as owner and beneficiary.

  • Mineral Interests, Royalties

Gifts of oil, mineral, and royalty interests are welcome, as well as income-producing intellectual property rights such as books, movies, music, and images.

    Note: Automobiles are not accepted.
