Mr. and Mrs. T.V. Mangelsdorf
Dallas, Texas
Dear T.V. and Lou Ann,
It is hard to believe that the 26th Annual Catholic Foundation Award Dinner on February 20 is almost here. Your work as the first ever co-chairs of the event has paid big dividends as we are expecting a large crowd.
As you know, we are honoring Oliver McGonigle who has done many good works and has truly made a difference at Bishop Lynch High School and Bishop Dunne Catholic School through his vision and determination to make each school better.
The reservations are arriving every day and final planning is underway. Changing the site of the award dinner to The Hilton Anatole Hotel has gone very smoothly and we are pleased with the way the details are coming together. The Grand Ballroom has just been remodeled and it is beautiful! Everyone should enjoy the new venue. The evening will include a five star meal, the presentation of the Catholic Foundation Scholars Award and an entertaining video highlighting Oliver’s good works. Our producer, Judy Kelly, even traveled to Mexico to obtain footage showcasing one of Oliver’s charitable and educational undertakings.
Bishop Farrell and all of our pastors have been invited to be our special guests and the Bishop will address the audience. This is his first award dinner and we are excited he will get to meet our supporters.
A change this year is that the dinner is no longer black tie, but black tie optional. The dinner is still $150 per person and we are taking reservations here at The Catholic Foundation. Thanks again to you and your committee. See you there and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Edwin M. Schaffler
President and Chief Executive Officer
