Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Wolfe
Dallas, Texas

Dear Tom,

Thank you for the opportunity to visit with you last week to discuss charitable giving and the ways The Catholic Foundation can help you.  I especially appreciated your observation about The Catholic Foundation being a great resource for personal charitable gift planning.

We covered many topics and I am glad we touched on so many charitable giving opportunities of relevance to you.  The Catholic Foundation can assist you with virtually any charitable vehicle you choose.  After listening to your long-range ideas it was clear to me that your first priority is your family, but that charity is a very important part of your thinking.  I hope that the ideas in regards to charitable remainder trusts, donor advised funds and the potential use of your individual retirement account for charity prove to be useful options.  All will work nicely and will help achieve your goals of supplementing your retirement income, providing for your children and supporting your favorite charities.  Of course, the income tax and potential estate tax savings are significant in your case.  You have a lot to think about. I hope you will allow The Catholic Foundation to assist you on that journey.

Bruce and Marilee, including charity in your planning will make the lives of your loved ones better and have an impact on our Catholic community for years to come.  The Catholic Foundation would be pleased to be the home for your charitable plans and we look forward to helping you.

God Bless

Sincerely,

Edwin M. Schaffler
President and Chief Executive Officer
