Mission Possible Distribution Committee
c/o Ms. Heather Steczko
Prince of Peace Catholic Community
Plano, Texas

Dear Heather,

Congratulations to the Mission Possible distribution committee for a job well done and for setting an example for young people throughout Dallas! As “secretary” of the Mission Possible distribution committee, please share this letter with your fellow distribution decision makers.

It was enjoyable observing the decision-making process of the Mission Possible distribution committee and impressive to see how thoughtfully the final decisions were made to award $2,300 in grants to the various agencies. I am sure that the SMU Catholic Campus Ministry, St. Vincent DePaul, Catholic Charities Immigration and Legal Services, the Sisters of Charity Shelter and 910 Guadalupe Radio were all pleased to receive the phone call notifying them of their award.

Listening to the individual reports on each site visit, I was struck by the thorough analysis and commitment to each request that emerged. As with The Catholic Foundation and our grants, it was clear the committee wished it had enough funding to award everyone a Mission Possible grant. It is never easy to give money away and the responsibility to be a good steward comes with each distribution decision.

Heather, please pass along to your committee The Catholic Foundation’s compliments on a job well done. We are happy to assist with funding for the grants and are especially pleased to know that young people such as the Mission Possible committee are learning about stewardship and becoming engaged in philanthropy in our Catholic community. Congratulations and thanks on behalf of The Catholic Foundation.

Sincerely,

Edwin M. Schaffler
President and Chief Executive Officer
