Save the date for our 13th annual Advisor Series for Estate and Wealth Management Professionals at the Belo Mansion Nov. 14 in downtown Dallas. Howard M. Zaritsky, a nationally-recognized expert on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, fiduciary income taxes, estate planning and estate administration, will present "The Year in Review: An Estate Planner's Perspective on Recent Tax Developments."

This year, in honor of a man fully dedicated to his faith and community, we renamed the scholarship the Hal Tehan Scholar Award, and presented it to Gerard Cardenas, a junior (ranked first in his class) at Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep.

Friends of The Catholic Foundation are invited to hear not one, but two, interviews on the Guadalupe Radio Network the week of Feb. 4 about the upcoming 37th annual Catholic Foundation Award Dinner.

The Catholic Foundation Board of Trustees has elected G. Marc Lyons as Chairman of its Board, succeeding John Landon who served as board chair the past two years. The Board of Trustees has also elected three new members, Matthew Bowen, G. Michael Gruber and David A. Yost, CFP. Their three-year term, effective January 2019, adds additional strength to the organization’s Board of Trustees.

Many members of the 2019 Catholic Foundation Award Dinner Committee, and Board of Trustees, recently gathered at the home of Barbara and Jim Moroney III, to commemorate the work done to prepare for the annual event.
