Good News On Good Friday

Thanks to our donors past and present, The Catholic Foundation is in a position to respond to the needs of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, our faith community and the community-at-large.

Our work has not been interrupted by social distancing, and we remain committed to serving our donors and the Dallas-area community with compassion in a way that helps us remain connected as a community. We’re working safely from home, and remain available for you as always.

Grant Distributions
During the past few weeks, we’ve been completing grant requests and distributing grants from Donor Advised Funds and unrestricted funds.

We’re grateful to the donors who’ve stepped up grant recommendations from their Donor Advised Funds to charities here in North Texas and across the country.

During the first quarter of this year, we granted $5.2 million. Last week alone, we granted out $2.2 million.

We also just announced $1.1 million in spring grants to 28 Dallas-area Catholic churches and schools and other non-profit organizations, and will recognize them in a virtual ceremony in May.

Gratitude & Encouragement
We offer special gratitude to our donors, clergy, fellow non-profits, suppliers and the community at large who are focused on helping those in need.

We also offer our encouragement to all those involved with Dallas-area Catholic schools who are helping make e-learning a positive experience for thousands of students and their families.

We encourage you to financially support Catholic Charities of Dallas, St. Vincent de Paul and your local parishes.

For those unable to attend Mass online, we’re pleased to be the broadcast sponsor of all the Sunday morning Masses in April that air on Ch. 4 at 11 a.m. and Ch. 27 or 7 (check your local service provider) at noon from the Cathedral in Dallas.

Connections & Community
Stay in touch with our updates through our website, www.catholicfoundation.com and all our social channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. You can also contact us at 972-661-9792 as we’re checking voicemails daily.

If you know of good news taking place in the Dallas-area community that’s helping others during the COVID-19 pandemic, and would like to share the story – even if the benefactor remains anonymous – please send the details to info@catholicfoundation.com and we’ll share the good news.

We pray this Easter season brings you hope and peace. And remember that together, we form a strong Foundation.
