With a number of openings January 8, all the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Dallas will have resumed regular schedules. As a long-time supporter of Catholic education, we wish all staff, teachers, students and their families the very best in the new year. Over the years, thanks to the support of many generous donors of The Catholic Foundation, grants and tuition assistance have been awarded to serve a variety of needs at local Catholic schools and enable those schools to offer tuition assistance to their students. We’ll next process applications on Thursday, Jan. 17, and invite all eligible schools to submit grant and/or tuition assistance applications to us for review to assist students and families in the 2019-2020 school year. Our user-friendly grant application and guidelines and tuition assistance application are accessible on our website at Grantmaking Overview – Grant Application/Tuition Assistance . The enhanced process enables all submissions to be completed and processed online. Schools that seek grants will be asked to describe the work of their organization and provide other pertinent details such as their mission, current programs and accomplishments and measurable achievements of the recent past among other things. Schools that seek tuition assistance for students will be asked to provide enrollment and financial information about their school. Grants from The Catholic Foundation are made possible because donors with a charitable dream established or supported a fund. We look forward to receiving applications this month, and recognizing recipients later this year.
