Catholic Foundation Events Calendar

As part of its service to the community, and to enhance the visibility of both its philanthropic work and the pressing needs of the community, The Catholic Foundation hosts and sponsors a number of public and educational activities each year.

    September Catholic Community Network

    In the spirit of “never stop learning and networking,” we’re inviting Dallas-area non-profit professionals to our next quarterly Catholic Community Network panel on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at our offices.

     

    Our panel of three experts will discuss the importance of good development and fundraising, and what it looks like, to the success of a non-profit enterprise. Topics will include major gift asks and donor relations, prospecting and capital campaigns.

    Kevin Fitzpatrick, Director of Development, Heroic Media, and 
    Kris Muñoz Vetter, Executive Director, Year Up, Dallas/Fort Worth

    A networking light breakfast takes place from 7:30 to 8 a.m. followed by the panel and Q&A from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

    Fall Advisors Series to Focus on Recent Tax Developments

    Save the date for our 13th annual Advisors Series for Estate and Wealth Management Professionals at the Belo Mansion Nov. 14 in downtown Dallas.

    Howard M. Zaritsky, a nationally-recognized expert on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, fiduciary income taxes, estate planning and estate administration, will present "The Year in Review: An Estate Planner's Perspective on Recent Tax Developments."

    Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. The program will take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. with a break, and offers two hours of continuing education credit.

Fall Grant Award Ceremony in November

Each spring and fall, The Catholic Foundation provides grants to organizations that meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Catholic community throughout the Diocese of Dallas and the region.

The fall award ceremony will take place in November as grants are awarded to North Texas churches, schools and community organizations. More details to come as the event nears.

The grants support a number of initiatives including a variety of building renovations and enhancements, technology upgrades and projects that serve the greater community.
