As part of its service to the community, and to enhance the visibility of both its philanthropic work and the pressing needs of the community, The Catholic Foundation hosts and sponsors a number of public and educational activities each year.

    All are invited to celebrate the finest in community service and Catholic philanthropy in the Dallas-area community at the 38th annual Catholic Foundation Award Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.

    That evening at the Hilton Anatole, we'll recognize our 38th annual Catholic Foundation recipient Joe Dingman.

    Fall Grant Award Ceremony Honorees

    Each spring and fall, The Catholic Foundation provides grants to organizations that meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Catholic community throughout the Diocese of Dallas and the region.

    The fall award ceremony took place November 22 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community in McKinney as grants were awarded to 19 North Texas churches, schools and community organizations. 

    The grants support a number of initiatives including a variety of building renovations and enhancements, technology upgrades and projects that serve the greater community.

Fall Advisors Series Focused on Recent Tax Developments

Thank you to all who attended our 13th annual Advisors Series for Estate and Wealth Management Professionals at the Belo Mansion Nov. 14 in downtown Dallas.

Howard M. Zaritsky, a nationally-recognized expert on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, fiduciary income taxes, estate planning and estate administration, presented "The Year in Review: An Estate Planner's Perspective on Recent Tax Developments."

Catholic Community Network

All are invited to our first quarerly Catholic Community Network of 2020 on Wednesday, March 4, and details on the program will be provided nearer the date.

 

In December, the editors of the Dallas and Fort Worth Diocesan newspapers, The Texas Catholic and North Texas Catholic, that cover news in North Texas and abroad with a Catholic perspective, discussed the current state of news and how organizations can work most effectively with their publications.
