December Catholic Community Network: Meet the Editors

Join the editors of the Dallas and Fort Worth Diocesan newspapers, The Texas Catholic and North Texas Catholic, that cover news in North Texas and abroad with a Catholic perspective, for a Dec. 4 panel during which they will discuss the current state of news and how your organization can work most effectively with their publications.

Our guest speakers are David Sedeño, Editor, The Texas Catholic and Juan Guajardo, Editor, North Texas Catholic in a panel titled, “Meet the Editors: Working Effectively With Catholic News Media to Showcase Your Organization’s Success.”

During the discussion, non-profit and for-profit professionals can learn how best to establish strong working relationships with both newspapers and showcase the good work of their organizations and impact on the community.

Topics will include media engagement, filtering news before it’s pitched to reporters and the role of digital media in today’s media landscape.

On December 4, a networking light breakfast will take place from 7:30 to 8 a.m. followed by our guest presentation from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Seating is limited, so please RSVP after details on our presentation are announced to Denise Shaw, dshaw@catholicfoundation.com, or 972-331-1641.
