Catholic Community Network - Mental Wellness Addressed June 7

The Tuesday, June 7th Catholic Community Network session will focus on the universal topic of mental wellness and feature Andy Keller, PhD, a nationally recognized thought leader on the topic.

As president and CEO, and Linda Perryman Evans Presidential Chair at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, Dr. Keller will cover the critical topic of minding one’s health and how we can manage mental wellness needs of employees and students during the free, morning session hosted by The Catholic Foundation starting at 8 a.m.

During “Minding Your Health,” we’ll cover the following topics and much more that will include addressing audience questions and comments:
•    Eliminating the misconceptions and stereotypes that stand in the way of people getting the care they need
•    Welcoming others to know it’s okay to talk about mental illness just like other health conditions
•    Assessing methods that could erase the potential spike in absenteeism and deaths from suicide brought on by the pandemic recession
•    Raising the awareness of mental health and wellness at companies, nonprofits and schools by collaborating with industry leaders to establish partnerships and alliances
•    Ensuring your organization is mindful of ways to help others in need
•    Identifying and treating mental illnesses long before major intervention is required and productivity decreases
•    Determining how to address the complicated impacts of mental stress including anxiety, burnout and depression
•    Cultivating a trusted work and school environment that breeds hospitality

Networking and a light breakfast begins at 8 a.m. followed by the program from 8:30 to 10 a.m. including Q&A.

The program takes place at 12222 Merit Drive in Merit Tower (next to Medical City Dallas just south of LBJ between Park Central and Coit) in the second-floor conference center.

Please RSVP by June 6 to Amy D’Alise with your name/organization/email/phone to adalise@catholicfoundation.com or 972-331-1641. Guest parking is located on all sides of Merit Tower.

Our April 6 quarterly Catholic Community Network session involving innovation was very informative as we had two dynamic nonprofit leaders who have blazed trails when it comes to innovation and leadership.
