Good Times Roll At 41st Annual Catholic Foundation Award Dinner

The 41st annual Catholic Foundation Award Dinner celebrated Catholic philanthropy at its finest as an Anatole Hotel ballroom filled to the brim listened to honorees Georgia and Marc Lyons humbly accept the award from Foundation board chair Dan Odom and Foundation president and CEO Matt Kramer.

During the festive evening that featured an invocation by Dallas Auxiliary Bishop Greg Kelly and remarks from Dallas Bishop Edward J. Burns, the Hal Tehan Scholar Award was presented to Cistercian junior Josh Hays. After thanking loved ones for the award presented to one Dallas area Catholic high school junior each year, Josh shared his essay on what a Catholic education means to him prompting a standing ovation.

Prior to the start of the program, Dave Palmer of KATH, 910-AM, interviewed several guests during a cocktail hour.

Excerpts of his interviews with Rob Hays, father of Josh, Auxiliary Bishop Kelly and former Catholic Foundation Award honoree Joe Dingman aired on this week’s Good News Show on the radio station.

Hundreds of photos, and a video of the entire evening will be posted soon on The Catholic Foundation website and shared on the Foundation’s social media channels.
