Catholic Foundation Award Dinner

Catholic Philanthropy & Community Service At Its Best
More than 40 years ago, The Catholic Foundation began recognizing an individual, couple or family for their distinguished service and support to further the religious, charitable and educational needs throughout the local Catholic community.
Since its inception, The Catholic Foundation Award has claimed the distinction of being the preeminent and most recognized annual award given to an outstanding member of the Dallas Catholic community.
Extraordinary People
Each recipient is selected by The Catholic Foundation Board of Trustees and presented with the award during The Catholic Foundation Award Dinner.
In 2024, the 41st annual Catholic Foundation Award honorees, Georgia and Marc Lyons, will be celebrated for their Christian example and enormous philanthropic impact made throughout the Dallas area on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
Table and individual reservations for the 2024 Catholic Foundation Award Dinner can be purchased in late 2023. For any questions or more information, please call Amy D’Alise at the Foundation at 972-331-1641 or email her at adalise@catholicfoundation.com.
Student Scholars
During the Award Dinner, the Foundation presents the Hal Tehan Scholar Award, in honor of the late Catholic Foundation leader, donor and friend, to one junior student nominated by each of the eight local Catholic high schools.
The award, based on the student’s academic achievement, community and church involvement, leadership, and an essay that illustrates what their Catholic education means to them, is voted on by a panel of Catholic Foundation Board of Trustees and Advisory Council members.
The top student recipient receives a $10,000 scholarship for their senior year. Each nominee from the other high schools receives a $2,500 scholarship for their senior year.
