All are welcome to our next Catholic Community Network session, “Maximizing the Impact of Your Non-profit Board,” on Wednesday, March 6 at our office, 12222 Merit Drive, Suite 850.

The panel discussion features three distinguished leaders with vast non-profit experience. Our speakers include Karen Larabee Waller, CEO of Corder and Waller Consulting; Kevin Bartholomew, President of Ben E. Keith; and Brent Christopher, President of Children’s Medical Center Foundation.

We’ll network at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and begin our program at 8 a.m. Complimentary parking is on the south side of Merit Tower that faces Medical City.

Karen was previously with Dini Spheris, a leading national consultancy in fundraising, leadership and performance for 33 years.

Her specialties include Campaign Planning, Campaign Counsel, Strategic Planning, Leadership Coaching and Performance Optimization. Her clients include the AT&T Performing Arts Center, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Notre Dame School and Shelton School. She has guided numerous major fundraising capital campaigns in the local Catholic Community and beyond.

Kevin brings 34 years of business experience in the beer industry. Kevin joined Ben E. Keith Company in 1984. He served in various capacities before being named General Manager in Palestine in 1986 where he spent five years.

From 1991 through 1993, Kevin served as the General Manager in Abilene and then moved on to the Dallas branch and became General Manager in 1997. Kevin continued up in rank, and in 1999, became the Vice President of Sales & Operations. In 2000, Kevin was named President of the Beverage Division. He is on multiple boards and committees including Jesuit High School and Ursuline Academy.

Brent leads the team focused on fundraising in support of Children’s Health and various components.

Those organizational entities include Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Plano, eight specialty centers, multiple Children’s Health Pediatric Group primary care practices, Our Children’s House specialty hospital and rehabilitation facilities, home health, physician services and the Children’s Medical Center Research Institute at UT Southwestern. Brent was formerly the President and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas.
