Recognize Outstanding Full-Time Catholic School Employees
The Catholic Foundation’s Work Of Heart program was started by two anonymous donors of The Catholic Foundation 19 years ago.
The Work Of Heart program recognizes exceptional full-time, Catholic school employees in the Diocese of Dallas. Recognition takes place at public ceremonies at the end of children’s Masses, during school assemblies or faculty meetings throughout the school year.
Over the past 19 years, roughly 1,400 Work Of Heart Awards have been presented, representing about $800,000 in awards to the recipients. In 2022, the stipend for recipients increased to $1,000.
The Foundation recognizes Catholic school employees for three reasons:
- To celebrate those who provide outstanding service at their school,
- To recognize those who model a Christian example, and
- To honor those who go above and beyond for students, families and their school community
