Work Of Heart Recipients Deliver Blessings at John Paul II High School

Congratulations to our two newest exemplary Work Of Heart honorees.

  • Emmanuel Espiritu, the Head Choir Director at JPII was described as follows by nominees:

“In Mr. E’s approach to teaching, he embodies the spirit of Jesus’s teachings, particularly in the way he emphasizes the connection between singing and prayer. Through his words and actions, he instills in us the belief that singing brings us closer to God, creating a sense of unity and spiritual communion within the choir. In this way, Mr. E not only teaches us about music but also imparts valuable lessons about faith, prayer, and the power of communal worship.”

“His passion for music and belief in his students have had a long-lasting impact on me and countless other students. With his guidance, we not only improved musically but also grew as individuals rooted in faith and compassion.”

  • Erin Harper, AP Statistics and pre-calculus teacher, math department chair & Activities Director and co-sponsor of the Spirit Boys, was described as follows by nominees:

“She exhibits and models the Five R’s of John Paul II High School: Respect, Responsibility, Role Model, Reverence, and Resilience. Every day, she models to her students what it means to be a good person/good Christian. She is understanding, and empathetic. Students admire and respect her because she is a good person, a person who cares about them, not just as students who need to learn and pass her class, but also as humans, who have lives and passions outside her classroom.”

“She is a tireless servant leader, passionate about learning and about ensuring that her students have the knowledge and the skills, not just in academics, but in life itself, to go forth into the world to make a difference. She is a blessing to this school, to her students, and to anyone fortunate enough to know her.”
